About Aine

Aine began her clinical career in the U.K., working with adult client’s living with and affected by HIV. During that time, she also worked with Place2Be, one of the U.K.’s leading children’s mental health charity’s providing counselling and mental health support in schools. Over the last ten years Aine has worked with the H.S.E. in child and adolescent services, in-patient & out-patient community adult mental health teams, psychiatry of later life and children's disability network teams.

Constantly keeping up to date with the latest research and science, Aine adopts a relationship-based, trauma informed approach. Aine incorporates aspects of C.B.T., D.B.T., Schema Therapy, Person Centred, Emotion Focused and Compassion Focused Therapy into her practise. Believing in a dynamic approach to diagnostics and intervention, her assessments combine standardised testing measures, alongside more informal evaluations, such as play, in order to offer real-time, meaningful insights. In her treatment, Aine works  with the child and family to identify practical, developmentally appropriate goals.
